Psychology and Human Resource Consulting 
 
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Psychology, a Graduate Diploma of Employee Relations and a Masters of Human Resources at Melbourne University. As a result, Michelle possesses a broad knowledge base of psychological councelling techniques, assessment procedures and psychometric tools,and has undertaken research in the areas of individual motivation and the psychological climate of the workplace.
        
While leading a corporate counselling service, Michelle started her own private practice located in Surrey Hills. Michelle provides a confidential counselling service to individuals, couples, organisations and families seeking support in addition to a human resource consulting service.
 
Previously Michelle was the National Manager - Clinical Manager at Drake WorkWise which is one of Australia's leading providers of workplace psychological, organisational and human development services. Michelle was responsible for the management of the Employee Assistrance Program (EAP) which is a proactive counselling service for work and personal issues which impact on employee wellbeing. The EAP provided individuals and their immediate family members with counselling for work related and personal issues which impact on personal wellbeing, work performance, individual and workplace morale and psychological health. Michelle also helped to prepare organisations (and equipping managers) to effectively manage traumatic incidents in the workplace.
 
Prior to Drake WorkWise Michelle was the National HR Director at Westaff Asia Pacific. Michelle was responsible for the development and implementation of Westaff's HR and Learning and Development Strategy, supporting HR Policies and Procedures, Attraction and Retention Strategy, Remuneration Policy and Performance Management System. Michelle was responsible for the development and implementation of Westaff’s EAP program and also offered an coaching service to Westaff's clients through their HR consulting arm.
 
Michelle has also been a volunteer councellor at Life Line which is a crisis telephone counselling for individuals at risk of suicide.
 
Michelle has a wealth of experience having worked with ANZ Bank, Westpac, National Australia Bank, Telstra, Shell Australia, Australia Post, Australian Defence Force, Transfield Services, Yarra Trams, Corrections Victoria, James Hardie, Virgin Blue and Qantas within her capacity as Director of Westaff's HR consulting arm i-Kapita and as an organisational psychologist.
 
Michelle has formally been recognised for her achievements where she was instrumental in achieving Best Employer Status (3 consecutive years) and the citation of Best Employer for Women by EOWA (3 consecutive years) at Westaff. Michelle has presented at the 2006 and 2007 AHRI Conferences, the 2007 and 2008 International HR Summit and the LexisNexis conference focusing on the achievement of a highly engaged workforce. She is passionate about Psychology, Human Resources and the importance of EAPs and Trauma Management Services.
